When do you going to know that you really speak English now.

If you study English you ask you self a lot of question. My English is it very good? Do people understand me when I am talking? But the moment where you really master English you go to know that by yourself. And I think that there two ways that going to make you know if you understand the language. The first one is when you going to stop to translate in your head when someone talks or when you want to say something. I say that because actually it’s my case if I have to say something I try to translate it before in my head or when someone is talking I translate it in my head in my own language. And the second way that going to really show you that you master the language is when you make a morning and you see that your entire dream you did last night was in English. In this way you will now that you really talk English. I am really urged to wake up a morning and feel this kind of situation.

A GOOD WAY FOR IMPROVE YOUR ENGLISH

Study a new language is very difficult. But if you want to understand more fast English you have to organize yourself. So before study English you have to test your level for know your level before stated. And if you already know your level you can easily find the way you can improve your level. There are different method for improve your English. It depends of the person who studies. For example if you like read its really good to try to read some simple book in English or try to read magazines and news papers. If you like listening music you can listen some songs in English and try to understand the concept of the song. If you like movie too, try to find your best movies in English. It is a good way because you going to do something you like and you going to learn at the same time. And use a lot dictionary for find the meaning of the new word than you find. It’s difficult to learn but it’s a wonderful language

What have you learned about writing this quarter?

This quarter is my first quarter and I learn about how to write essay. I study a lot of kin of essay that I never study even in my country. I learn different kind of essay like narrative assay, comparative essay, cause and effects and argumentative essays. They help me a lot it help me to know how to combine my idea. Because I think that it’s not really difficult to get some ideas about a topic or a subject but the most difficult is how to arrange this idea. And arrange your Idea is a good thinks because it going to help you in writing and it going to help you in speaking too, because if you speak you have to arrange your idea for help people who listen you to understand you. I learn how to make a good topic sentence and a clear thesis statement. Its help me to improve my vocabulary because if you write an essay you have to use a lot of words. And I like the way by the teacher use for teach us how to write really good. For example she ask us to write to entries in a blog every week so it’s a good way for improve your writing. And I know that all the things that I study in writing this quarter going to help me in my next classes.

SOCCER

In this post I am talking about my favorite sport which is Soccer. Soccer is a collective sport. In a football match there are two teams and each time has 11 players. Soccer is played with a round ball. The goal of each team is to put the ball in the opponent’s goal without using the arms. It is the sport number one in many countries. The world cup is the prestigious competition of soccer. It is organized every 4 years in different country and soon it will be the 2010 world cup in South Africa. It’s the first time that an African country organizes the world cup. The entire World is waiting for this big event. It’s a sport who makes a lot of money. Personally I really like it and I practice it all the week. When I was young my dream to became a football player but in my father want me to concentrate in my study because I have some problems on my left knee and my father taught that I cannot became a big player with that. But know I just play it for enjoy myself. I am playing now with the TCC soccer team and soon in the summer I going to play in a big league in Tacoma. Soccer is a wonderful sport.

how to study very well

Sometimes it’s difficult for the student to know how to study. Often the students establish a program and they cannot follow it. Even with the best intentions they cannot study when they should. They waste all their time. Here is an example. If someone is supposed to study grammar from 7h to 9h. Although determined to work, he takes place at 7h at his desk and realizes that his pencil is not sharp. He goes to the room of a friend who has a pencil sharpener, but it start to discuss with him and loses a good 20 minutes. Back in his room, he remembers that there is a good music program on the radio and think that doing his work and listening the music program will be good. His attention devised between reading and music, and then he realizes that he is dreaming in front of a photo taken recently that reminded him good memories. He arrives at 9h and he has still done nothing. So waste time is one of the main problems of learning. You already see it by yourself. If it’s your case try to correct this default. My solution is to study short and strongly. I think it’s better to study a long time without concentration. For studying well you have too choice the place where you study too. It’s better to study in a quiet area for get more concentration. For example the library is a good place for study. And I think it’s good to make a schedule for manage your time.

SENEGAL MY COUNTRY

SENEGAL

I talk about my country in this writing. My country I Senegal it is situated in the west of the African continent. Our first language is French because we are colonized by France and we get our own independence in April 4 1960. And French is only speaking at school or at work because we have many local languages and each ethnic has his own language. For example me I speak two of them: Serrere and Wolof. The population of Senegal is almost 12 million and Dakar is the capital of the country. And we have a national meals called Thiebou Dieune. It’s a kind of rice and fish its really good and I miss it a lot because when I was there I ate it every week and know I stayed 3 months without eat it.

GENDER

on Thursday we had the opportunity to participate at a good presentation about gender like man and woman . the presenter was Robin Echtle. i found her presentation very interesting . At the beginning all the participant present their self . like you said your name and your gender . after she asked us what which gender do specifically, and the character of each gender. she ask to some student what they feel if someone said them they look like the other gender. For example if your are a man and someone say that you look like a women . personally if someone say me something like that i will take it like a joke because i know that i don,t look like a woman and nobody can see me and say that i look like a woman.
